Monsters can be found on specific islands.
To be able to fight a monster the player needs to hire John Swiftblade as a warrior.
If the player does not have a warrior with him or her the entire group of crew members run out of the location.
Various monsters can be fought on in specific locations on an island.
Sometimes the monsters drop items which can be sold at the Monster Parts Stall.
